Who are you, and what do you do? What do you like to do outside of work?

I’m Sasoon Sarkisian, and I’m a fully remote web developer working out of a rural suburb in Australia. In my spare time I love making 2D/3D hybrid animation using Blender, playing games (currently on Path of Exile 2) and watching anime (currently watching Dandadan and Blue Lock.

What hardware do you use?

I run a custom-built PC and a Legion Slim 5.

Peripherals include Pixel Buds; Logitech MX Master 3S mouse for travel; Ploopy Adept/Swiftpoint Z2 for desktop use; and the Voyager, which is tented using the magnetic ZSA pucks and two Neewer tripod heads.

And what software?

I use Cursor, GitHub, Obsidian, Docker, and Windows Terminal, all inside WSL. Currently developing a plugin to sync Obsidian Tasks to Google Calendar :)

What’s your keyboard setup like? Do you use a custom layout or custom keycaps?

My home layout layer shifts everything up one row.

I have specific layers for Blender, gaming, numbers/symbols and nav. Definitely could be optimised haha, and I do want to move away from QWERTY eventually. Love combos for copy/paste and some obscure Blender commands.

What would be your dream setup?

I’d love a wireless Voyager-esque board with an integrated pointing device. I hate breaking immersion by switching between keyboard and mouse. I’ve got my eye on the Svalboard and Naya Create as an all-in-one input device.
